A low concrete inn the color of pale sandstone on a cliff above Arizona's red rock canyon at golden hour, with a long infinity pool

Twelve rooms on the edge of the canyon.

Built from the rock it stands on. Come for the light, stay for the quiet.

01 · The inn

The color of the cliff, on purpose.

Rammed earth and board-formed concrete, tinted to match the sandstone, so the inn reads as part of the ridge.

02 · The rooms

Nothing between you and the buttes.

Glass that slides fully open, a fireplace for cold desert nights, linen that smells faintly of sage.

03 · Weddings

Vows at the water's edge.

Ceremonies at the end of the pool for up to 80 guests, then one long table under the lights.

The canyon is holding a room for you.

Ochre Mesa is twelve rooms, a kitchen and a long terrace on a sandstone ridge four thousand feet above the valley. No lobby, no noise, no rush. Just the canyon changing color from breakfast to dark, and a small team that knows your name by the second morning.

Experiences

Slow days,long nights.

Nothing is scheduled unless you ask. When you do, it's small, unhurried and led by people who grew up here.

A treatment room carved into a curved sandstone wall with a white linen bed and a stone basin
The spa

A room carved into the rock.

Three treatment rooms set into the outcrop, two thermal pools and a cold plunge fed by the inn's well.

A long oak communal table beside an open wood-fire hearth, windows showing the buttes at dusk
The kitchen

One table, one fire.

A single seating each night, cooked over juniper and mesquite. The menu follows what the ranchers down the valley bring in.

A long concrete terrace with a sunken fire pit at dusk overlooking the canyon
The terrace

Fire pits, no curfew.

When the sun drops, the terrace becomes the living room. Blankets, mezcal, a guitar if someone brought one.

The Milky Way over dark sandstone buttes, seen from two linen daybeds on the inn's terrace
After dark

The darkest skyyou'll sleep under.

Ninety miles from the nearest city glow. Every room has a daybed outside and a star chart by the door; our astronomer hosts the terrace on clear nights.

Rows of wooden chairs on a gravel lawn at the cliff edge, facing the canyon, with a minimal arch of dried grasses and white flowers

Three ways to celebrate

One celebrationat a time.

We host one wedding a weekend and close the inn to everyone else, so the canyon, the kitchen and the team are yours alone.
